CLASSIC CAR MECHANIC
CBR are looking for a Classic Car Mechanic to join their team, working on high-end classics such as Jaguars, Rolls Royces, Bentleys and Aston Martins. Required to handle anything from routine servicing and mechanical fault-finding through to full mechanical rebuilds, as well as installation of performance upgrades, some welding and fabrication support and prepping cars for concours or customer delivery. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and also as part of team, liaising with body and paint shop departments to ensure each vehicle meets our high quality and show-standards.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
To perform servicing, mechanical repairs and rebuilds on classic vehicles
Diagnose and correct mechanical faults and issues, including engine, transmission and chassis work
Fit components, perform small welding and fabrication tasks if/when required
Work alongside body shop and paint shop teams to prepare vehicles for customer handover
Maintain workshop records, carry out quality checks and ensure all work meets the expected high standard
Adhere to all health & safety requirements and ensure good workshop housekeeping
Role Requirements
Must have proven experience working on classic cars, preferably British marques ie Jaguar, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin
Strong mechanical ability and aptitude to carry out fault-finding and rebuilds
Welding/fabrication experience is beneficial but not necessary
Self-starter who can work independently with minimum supervision
Must have high attention to detail
Full Clean UK Driving Licence
Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 per annum depending on experience
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08.00 – 17.00

The successful applicant must have proven classic car experience, work under own initiative and complete tasks to a very high standard, and also able to work a team player and contribute by bringing drive, ambition and good working practice to the working environment.
CBR Classic Restorations has been trading since 1997 and is an extremely well regarded classic vehicle restoration company. Specialising in Jaguar, Aston Martin and Rolls Royce you will predominantly be working on vehicles like e-type and XK jaguars, however we do get a great selection of other marks through the workshop all the time.
Must have experience in classic vehicle bodywork preparation and paintwork.
Will need a full driving licence and the right ‘can do’ attitude.
The role will be varied and as well as working on the cars will include: collection and delivery of vehicles, parts and customers, valeting of vehicles prior to collection / delivery and general help around the workshop with whatever may be required at the time
